We were approached by the would-be buyer of a house in the countryside with a sizeable plot of land attached to it.
The customer wanted to purchase a home in a conservation area in the Yorkshire Dales, which was subject to a 106 clause, restricting its purchase and re-sale to long-term residents of the area and their families.
Well, last night represented a very new experience for all of us at Beverley Building Society, and indeed our members. We live streamed our Annual General Meeting for the first time. And, while we did so largely in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, like so many things over the past year, the learnings from it will no doubt impact positively on what we do in future.
Well, come Thursday we’re facing the onset of another lockdown, announced by the Government to try to stem the spread of the coronavirus. We sincerely hope that you and your family are managing to stay safe and well amidst fresh concerns around the growth of the pandemic.
