We are honoured and delighted to announce that the actor and co-founder of East Riding Theatre, Richard Avery, has kindly accepted the role of MC at our Charity Golf Day on 26 August 2022.
Former Old Shakespeare Company and West End actor, Richard, has appeared in Coronation Street, Emmerdale, the Bill, Touch of Frost and films, including the Return of the Native. Richard is also the founder of our long-standing community partner East Riding Theatre.
Richard will be announcing the prizes for the Golf Day’s top winning teams and the charity raffle at 7pm at the end of match, which is in aid of our Charity of the Year, the Beverley Cherry Tree Community Centre.
The event, which is being held at Hessle Golf Club, in Raywell near Cottingham, has received fantastic response from individuals and businesses alike and is now fully booked with 24 teams of 4 people (of all abilities) that are coming together for a day of competitive fun in support of a great local cause. Teams will be teeing off at 10 minute intervals between the start of the match at 10.30am until 2pm.
We’re also very proud to reveal that the following businesses have generously supported the event with tee box sponsorship and/or donated raffle prizes, in addition to accommodating the event, all of which raises vital income to help change the lives of vulnerable people in our region.
However, we still need more tee box sponsorships and raffle prizes to really make a difference to this important cause!
So, if you’re a business who would like to help – and promote you brand to a large captive audience at the same time – please email event organiser, James Woodhead at: James James.Woodhead@beverleybs.co.uk or telephone him on 01482 881510.
A huge thank you to Richard and all our supporters of the event who have helped to make the day possible – we couldn’t have done it without you!
