Delighted to announce our 2024 Charity of the Year, Yorkshire Cancer Research – lets start fundraising!

Beverley Building Society’s founding purpose is built on providing great value savings and mortgage solutions, but it also includes working closely with community partners to ensure that Beverley and our East Riding heartland are vibrant and thriving places to live and work.

Charitable giving is a key part of this strategy and this year, we’re extremely proud to have chosen to support Yorkshire Cancer Research as our 2024 Charity of the Year.

What does Yorkshire Cancer Research do?

Yorkshire Cancer Research exists so that more people can live longer healthier lives, free of cancer. Thanks to supporters, the charity has been funding research and saving lives since 1925 – in Yorkshire, and beyond. As the biggest funder of cancer research study places in Yorkshire, the Charity gives people in our region access to innovative new cancer treatments.

The Charity perfectly sums up its mission when it says: “our aim is for more people to survive cancer each year”.

Dr Kathryn Scott, Chief Executive at Yorkshire Cancer Research, said:

“We are delighted that Beverley Building Society has chosen Yorkshire Cancer Research as its charity partner of the year for 2024. “From funding world-leading experts who are discovering new ways to treat cancer, to establishing pioneering exercise programmes to help those currently having cancer treatment and encouraging people across the region to take part in screening, the generous support of individuals and organisations like Beverley Building Society will help the charity save lives across the region.”
