It was wonderful to be able to meet with Society members and community partners face-to-face again, for the first time since 2019, at this year’s event. The proceedings took place at Brown’s department store in Beverley town centre.
Our Chair Stuart Purdy welcomed our new CEO Janet Bedford to her role, and thanked outgoing CEO Karl Elliott for his contribution to the Society’s success so far.
Stuart also announced the arrival our our new Non-Executive Director, Oliver Laird, and bid a fond farewell to former Audit Committee Chair, Mike Heenan, after almost 12 years’ outstanding service to the Society. Stuart also shared his views on 2021 and events that have transpired since our last, virtual meeting.
We heard, too, from Jo Ramsay, Manager of our first ever Charity of the Year, the Beverley Cherry Tree Community Centre, all about the difference this new partnership will make to the Centre’s users, which represent all generations within the town and surrounding area.
