We asked Jess some questions about the Society and her time here.

What made you want to work for the Society?

I liked the fact that they are a based in the heart of Beverley, and are a traditional building society which upholds traditional values.

What do you like most about working here?

All of the staff here are really friendly and easy to get along with.

How did you find completing your CeMap course?

I found it difficult because there is a lot of information to learn about different rules and regulations in the financial services industry, but I was lucky to have such a supportive team to help me with any questions I had.

How long did it take to complete?

I am pleased to say that I completed CeMap in less than 3 months.

How will this benefit the Society?

It will be beneficial for the Society because I am able to give mortgage advice and conduct interviews with people who are looking to purchase their first homes, move house, or remortgage.

What are you mostly looking forward to about your new role in the Mortgage Department?

I enjoy working with different things every day and with such a friendly team, and I am looking forward to being able to help customers with their mortgage enquiries and assist them with mortgage advice.

Graham Carter, Head of Lending at the Society said: “I am really proud of Jess for passing her exams and working so hard. She is a great asset to the Mortgage Team and I am looking forward to supporting her in her new role”.
